Let’s chill…infact let’s allow ourselves to be a little melancholy for a while… Which Indonesian pop singers come to mind when you slip into this frame of mind? Well one of them would definitely be Marcel Siahaan. With hits such as Semusim (One Season) and Mendendam (Vengeful), Marcel is quite capable of sending his fans over the moon...or sobbing underneath it. Last Wednesday, 28th September Marcel’s fans had the chance to get up close and personal with his sweet voice as he performed at Hard Rock Café for the regular Hard Rock University night. The crowd, many of them students taking advantage of the special discounts, had been waiting in front of the entrance from 10pm, although the show started around midnight. Marcel sauntered onto the stage wearing black t-shirt and jeans to the screams of his fans and from the very start created a strong rapport with them, reaching out to touch their hands as he sang.
