Queen's Tandoor : Breaking Barriers

With 19 years experience to their credit, the family-owned Indian restaurant Queen’s Tandoor can afford to take chances such as breaking the “pizza paradigm” and dispelling the notion that pizza can only be served in Italian/Western restaurants. Queen’s Tandoori Pizza is cooked in a traditional clay and charcoal oven (Indian equivalent of a wood fired oven) and serves up a delicious mix of herbs, mutton and vegetables with the unmistakable curry flavour replacing traditional tomato sauce. Boasting a super thing crust and served with mango chutney and some eye-watering chili sauce, pizzas run in at around 30k. The Tandoori Pizza is one of a range of new ‘fast food’ dishes which includes a Mumbai Hotdog and Bollywood Burger. If you want to add a little extra spice, go down on a Friday night and you’ll find some contemporary Indian dance performances taking place, including fire shows. //gino++
