Tangga
in the House

Kicking off the night at Hard Rock Café on Thursday, the 16th, were local rap act, Korleon MC, (straight outta Denpasar) who flexed their version of the ghetto steeze. Headlining the night and contrasting the previous act, were the rookie, up and coming, boy-boy-girl-girl group, Tangga (Ladder/Stairs). The pop group has gained recent fame for their harmonizing abilities and for their first single, “Terbaik Untukmu” (The Best For You), off their debut album. They performed the hit along with other original cuts such as “Hebat” (Awesome) and also did a few poppy R & B covers like Alicia Keys’, “If I Ain’t Got You” and Tamia’s, “Officially Missing You.” Performing less than 3 months, after the release of their first album, the group was a little unpolished and the venue not so rammed with fans. Perhaps with a few more releases and more practice, Tangga’s talent will shine to a packed house in the near future.//gino-G++
