shop : Khan's Carpets

Carpets may not be traditionally associated with tropical living, but you’ll find that a growing number of Bali’s most exclusive private villas are graced with sumptuous oriental rugs, and many of them are purchased at Khan’s carpets on Jl Raya Seminyak.
Ali Khan collects colourful loose weave rugs and durable carpets in wool and silk from almost every country where hand-knotted carpets are woven. There are a number of steps involved in the production, from the dyeing of the wool – often using traditional vegetable dyes made from walnuts, pomegranates, flowers and onions – to the design and motif orientation, which reflects the ethnic diversity of the country. Each unique and fabulous design and motif has its own magical meaning and the weavers who create these are truly great artisans.
Khan’s Carpets is playing an important role in helping the carpet weavers by buying and selling the products for the survival of this legendary art.
The shop has a fine selection of new and antique carpets, as well as carpet cushions and flat woven kilims, which are magnificent in design and colour. New stock is a continuous feature, prices are very competitive and cargo facilities are available.
