Midnight ticks closer and Dhyana Pura is gridlocked. The reason: Bahiana Rhumeria is holding its first anniversary celebrations and pulling the crowds with a fire juggler at the entrance of the Latin styled venue. Venturing inside, I’m met with a barrage of salsa rhythms from Latin band Buena Tierra who are dropping classics like Santana’s Corazon Espinado (thorn in my heart). Artist Yari is busy applying body paint to some nubile young ladies while behind the bar, glasses and cocktail shakers are flying in the capable hands of a cocktail barman. Add lashings of free flow punch and you’ve got yourself some Latin mayhem right here…Gino++
