131 The Kuta Karnival is coming soon. Next weekend, to be precise. This year it’s going to be a good one, a lot better organized and loads of entertainment. A big congratulations goes out to the principal organizers who put hours of unpaid work into the event. A handful of them got together after last year’s karnival and have been plugging away at it ever since. They do it for everyone in town, they do it to make a better community for us all to live in and they do it to bring back tourists to Bali. ..

Promises promises…while the scheduled 1am start was to be taken in the context of Indonesian Jam Karek (rubber time) 66 were stretching the elastic pretty thin to bring him on at 3am. Still, time was the headline DJ would appear at 4am so things have definitely changed for the better. And one more thing, the warm up DJ played some slamming tunes. ....

Navicula were formed back in 96, and were regular shows through 2002-2003 at the Beat Rock Fest. And now? Surprise-surprise, they just signed a massive contract with Sony-BMG Indonesia for their debut album Alkemis (Alchemist). ....
