The third Kuta Karnival is fast on the way. This year the event has been brought forward from the original October date to the end of June and according to the organizers this was done to ensure that the Karnival has the greatest exposure possible and becomes the biggest event on the Kuta calendar. After three years the event has now become better organized and this year looks set to be the best yet.
You’ll see on the Kuta Karnival Program that went out with The Beat this week that the whole of Kuta beach will be covered in tents, stands and stages. All sectors of the local and ex-pat community have come together to present sporting, cultural, entertainment and food activities along the beach from Jalan Pantai, Hard Rock end to Jalan Melasti and Padma, where the Food Festival will be taking place on the final weekend.
Highlights of the Kuta Karnival will be featured in the next edition of The Beat but just briefly, there’ll be major surfing competitions, performers from all over the country as well local artists playing all styles of music, a street parade, sporting events of many kinds and the very successful Bali Food Festival with over 50 stalls offering their produce.
The Kuta Karnival is taking place from :
Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, July 3, 2005.
