It’s almost five years ago that we first published The Beat magazine and after much deliberation and humming n’ aahing we’ve decided to go for another rather large party to celebrate this milestone. Since some aspects of the show are still in the melting pot we’ll leave it to next week to give the full details but what we can say is that, all going to plan, it should be a very special night under the stars.
This week we look up some old nightlife movers and shakers in Ivan and Ucha to see how their partnership has evolved over the years. Jakartan rockers Seurieus were in town last week and Gino got the goods on them before their gig at HRC and up the hill, Johnny Diesel was also back at Centerstage which proved to be an entertaining couple of nights of solo, folk rock.
Anyway, here’s another burster from the Beat team with love to you and you and you! Next week we’ll give you more info on the party but until then you can drop us a line by email to get an invitation. Can’t say exactly what that Invite will get you right now but we’d love to hear from you anyway. ED

This Friday night is busy. At 4pm it starts with The Wave having a Fashion Show from their in-house store, Metrox. DJ Achdiyat supplies the afternoon vibes. Groovism at Hard Rock Café looks like fun with Hex Hector coming from NYC to spin some classic tracks. Kudos has Look Models as guests sashaying about with a Fashion Show and the new spot in Sanur, Sector has special guest and jazz musician, Fariz FM. The Wave has come to the fore this week with a load of entertainment on offer. Check it out. 63KG, Bali’s new middle of the road blues rock band at Centerstage next Thursday is definitely worth a look, too.
