Last Thursday night was a real success for Jazz Café up in Ubud as the live music venue celberated its 8th Anniversary with a blend of fantastic music, good food and a flow of free drinks!

One of the most important and renowned café/restaurant in Ubud, Jazz cafe has been famous for its carefully selected quality live jazz & latin music for many years. The party was a welcome relief for tourists and Ubud residents, a chance to forget the rain and get down to some fine funky music.

Things started early at 7pm with free sangria & canapés…when we got there it was still pretty chilled, but by 8pm, the band started to play and people started arriving in their droves - by 9.30pm the place was totally packed.
The dance floor was burning up while countless barflies lined the bar and all the tables at the back were occupied, making for a great atmosphere. Jazz cafe had brought in all their regular artists for the occasion, including Balawan, Komang and Dana with their talented bands in tow playing salsa, soul & funk to rock & roll and bluebeat.
