The stage was set for a fiesta of fine music last Saturday 21 down at 66: DJ Kevin Shiu – described a year back by John Digweed as the best ‘unknown’ DJ he’d heard.

Phil K is a technical master with both vinyl and CDs, a colleague of Dave Seaman’s and basically one of the best and most individual DJs around today.

And so it turned out – Shiu came on first, kick starting the crowd, before Phil K threw down his signature breakbeats, working his mixes with consummate skills. By 6 in the am, things were really firing and he left the crowd not tired but still tripping on adrenaline at 7 in the am…
