After 11 ar tists
at Hansen Gallery, Tebar Warna’s exhibition is even
much more generous and offers the possibility to see 120
different Indonesian artist’s works.
The exhibition called “Tebar Warna 2004”
(diverse colors) opened on August 15 at Bharata Gallery,
in Pengosekan – Ubud, by Mr Suteja Neka, founder
of the Neka Museum. The show will be running until September
15th.
Since exhibiting 120 different artists required much
space, 3 other galleries are participating in the exhibition:
- Bali Gallery, Jl Raya Peliatan – Ubud ph: 0361
971 175
- Galeri Sembilan, Jl A.A Gde Rai, Lodtunduh, Ubud ph:
0361 981 587
- Damuh Gallery, Jl Raya Andong, Ubud ph: 081338662205
The idea of Tebar Warna’s Exhibition came from
‘the Bali Family Artists’ who decided to organize
a big show, inviting many artists from Java to participate.
So, together Balinese and Javanese artist’s works
are exhibited to create a National event.
The project is starting in 2004 and will take place for
the years coming.
The concept of Tebar Warna is to bring together all Indonesian
artists, all styles, all colors, all models, all spiritualities
& religions.
At Bharata’s gallery the exhibition is organized
in two different rooms inside a Balinese house. Inside
the first room are exhibited expressionist and abstract
paintings and in the second naturalist and traditional
paintings, all displayed with harmony & research creating
a very interesting collaboration.
I certainly recommend the visit, since it’s providing
to visitors a chance to view and understand the density
and variety of Indonesian art, in one single exhibition.
