 The
Cellar Restaurant - Wine & Bar opened a couple of months
ago in the Istana Kuta Galeri, the new shopping mall in
Kuta. It’s the second branch of an existing café
from Bandung, open from 11am to 11pm and offers Indonesian
and Western food. It also has an extensive wine list and
fine cigars for sale. The two storey open-air and air-conditioned
restaurant/wine bar can cater to about 80 people and they
can cater to functions upstairs. We stopped by for lunch
last week and the food was very good. Sandwiches, Pasta,
Indonesian favorites were all there and the price was reasonable.
They plan to have entertainment soon - jazz flavours on
the sidewalk - and we could imagine The Cellar becoming
a nice stop-over on a trip to the latest Mall in town.
