MONSTER BEACH PARTY
Centerstage is fast becoming known as the alternative venue in town that really offers something different. Even with the chaotic road works going on in Kuta over the past months they still manage to pull a crowd to their events and last week’s Monster Beach Party was no exception.
When we arrived at about ten pm we couldn’t even fit inside without pushing through a wall of people at the entrance and I personally had never seen so many people at Centerstage.
They transported the beach to the bar by shifting a huge amount of beach sand onto the floor and with live entertainment continually bouncing from one act to the next over a three hour period, the audience was left in aural and visual amazement till the final call. X-Cite Band was the nucleus of the show but the ladies moving around in an array of different poses; dancing, modeling, walking the bar, took the evening’s entertainment up an appealing notch. We’re not sure where they find this bevy of local beauty but it does keep the punters happy.
At the end of the night it was unclear how they were going to get all that sand out of there but one thing was sure, getting the sand out of your shoes definitely would’ve paled in comparison. SS.
